Presented by Indelibl Arts

In celebration of the closing of the Last Frontier exhibition hosted at Art Africa, on Friday 6th February we invite you to a panel discussion dubbed Custodians of Culture. Custodians of Culture is a conversation that reframes art collecting as a serious, intentional practice one that carries cultural responsibility alongside financial consideration.Bringing together curators, gallerists, and a banker, the talk explores how collectors, artists, and financial institutions can work in closer alignment to build sustainable ecosystems for Ghanaian and African art. At its core, the discussion asks: if artists dedicate their lives to craft, what does it mean for collectors to meet that commitment with equal care, rigor, and long-term vision?Date ; Friday 6th February, 2026 Time ; 6pm Venue ; Art Africa, Osu Oxford StreetThis event is FREE to attend but seating will be limited.

Accra Art Week was established to showcase the best of Accra’s art scene both at home and abroad. We are the springboard for artists from Accra and Beyond. Ghana Culture Week features film screenings, panel discussions, art exhibitions and networking events; bringing Ghanaian culture closer to audiences in Czech Republic.

A Final Note

From AAW Founder and Director

On behalf of the team at AAW, we would like to thank Art Africa, Afrinova, the artists, patrons and supporters who have made the Last Frontier possible; a quiet revolution in Accra’s art scene. Stay tuned for the 2026 Calendar of events beyond Ghana Culture Week. It’s shaping up to be an exciting year for our community.
